Nail Surgery

Nail surgery is a common procedure performed by most Podiatrists to effectively treat an ingrowing toenail that is not responding to conservative measures. All of our Podiatrists are fully qualified and experienced with partial or total removal of such problematic toenails. As podiatrists are primary health care providers, a doctor’s referral is not required.

The procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia (injections) in our rooms in a relaxed, professional environment. This may be required when an ingrowing toenail repeatedly becomes infected, is continually painful or prevents the wearing of shoes and thus interferes with work, sporting or other activities.

Our Podiatrists can assess whether a procedure may be appropriate for your individual case at your initial consultation.
